More Dash Than Cash

If you’re new to Fashion Follows Her I should probably point out this isn’t a blog focused on super scrimping and bargains, you may have made a wrong click somewhere south of The Frugality. Occasionally and mostly by accident, I stumble across a real steal that fits perfectly into the ‘more dash than cash’ category. My latest purchases fall squarely in that category- a new pair of shiny pink bow flats from M&S for the slightly ludicrous price of £3.99 down from £25’s.

M&S flatsPictured with a mix and match bikini from Tesco’s F&F range which is surprising good quality and quite flattering. Ideal for splashing about in the pool trying to tone up my thighs and bum ready for summer (the chlorine eats bikini’s for breakfast, they barely last a season so it’s not worth spending silly money on swimwear). Have you found any great buys recently?

Super Sale Saturday

Anya Hindmarch Wilkes Wallet

Pursue a bargain in the January sales…. there’s still time.

Mid January is a great time to bag yourself a bargain in the sales. Ignore those who say the best items have been picked over, this is the time most retailers receive returns of unwanted presents and items bought in hast.

Missoni: Spend or Save

Missoni launched their iconic, crocheted knitwear way back in 1953, ever since designers across the world have been inspired by their zig-zag signature style. I picked up the knitted dress on the left from Phase Eight in the sale but it doesn’t stop me lusting after a Missoni original. Spend or Save both of these are lovely.

New Year, New Boots….Reiss Sale

Reiss Boots

I promised to show you my new boots and here they are……

As you’ve probably gathered I’m not that keen on joining the hoards sale shopping in store. I do always pop along to a couple of stores online every season- Reiss is one store I just can’t resist. I picked up these Kristina Prune Lace Up Boots, for almost half price- what a great way to start the New Year!

I have a couple of tips to share with you about online sale shopping:

– Always order a couple of sizes to make sure your garments fit- chances are if you have ordered the wrong size, they will be sold out when you go to re-order your purchase in a different size.

– Be brave, sale shopping is a great way to push your style boundaries but unlike shopping in store you have time to really consider if your new look is actually a keeper.

– Check out your favourite brands before the sale and note down (add to your wish-list) pieces that are usually out of your price range- you never know you may bag yourself a little bargain!
