Two years on and I’m still in love with Olivia P; her grace, style and beautiful manners… what’s not to love?!!
Here I’m stealing Olivia P’s style, looking at the way Olivia has teamed a stripe clutch with jeans and a sweater. A box clutch is usually reserved for formal outfits and show stopping evening wear, so seeing Olivia mix a formal clutch with casual jeans is great. I’ve selected a Lulu Guinness clutch and a ASOS clutch for those with more dash than cash (like me!).
Stripes are springing up on Pinterest…. street-style, bloggers and celebs all getting their stripe on.
Olivia Palermo takes a coffee break, layering a monochrome top with a chunky crystal, statement necklace. Blogger and lifestyle guru Natalya of Five Five Fabulous rocks off-duty stripes at Fashion Week in Paris. Grazia snapped this stripy goddess at New York Fashion Week, working the stripe trend from head to toe. I’ve already bought the shoes and skirt in this edit, so just the necklace, top and bag to go then!
Olivia Palermo sauntered through London Fashion Week in her usual faultless style. Maybe I’m a little biased because I have a rather huge (and well documented) style crush on Olivia P. Elegant and super stylish, Olivia mixes simple pieces with statement accessories to create a classic but contemporary look. If you’re going to steal, it may as well be from the best….
Olivia Palermo my total style crush recently announced her engagement and I have a sneaky suspicion the blushing bride might just be wearing Elie Saab on her big day.
Olivia is a regular on the Elie Saab front row and princess Claire of Luxembourg looked phenomenal in her white Elie Saab wedding dress last September. Yesterday Elie Saab debuted his Spring/Summer 2014 Couture Collection and there were quite a few options Olivia could glide down the aisle wearing.
The perfect English rose look, classic and very well suited to Olivia’s slender shape or a simple and chic strapless number with decorative side panels.
A full on lace number with long sleeves and sheer lace panels, an iconic romantic bridal look. Or possibly a break with tradition with a regal, blush satin gown.
Finally a full on antique lace appliqué gown, drama and breath-taking style combined- I wonder if Elie had Olivia in mind when he designed this?
Getting my Thursday night fix of The Good Wife is pure indulgence. Aside from the super cute Cary, fiendishly handsome Will and the phenomenal wardrobe of razor-sharp power suits worn by Alicia; I occasionally find a spark of inspiration for a post.
This weeks series finale focuses on the truth in all its variable shades. In essence, on some level I believe we are all looking for the light, where ever we may find it. Whether it’s the people who make us smile or things that have the feel good factor. Seemingly we seek out the light like a plant in a dark room.
This summer, yet again the sun has failed to really shine out ( a couple of warm days does not a long-hot summer make). Instead there seems to be a trend of adding sunshine to your wardrobe in an attempt to starve off the summer blues. Louis Vuitton kicked off this zingy trend back in Spring- yellow stripes and checks cascaded down the catwalk.
Not quite convinced I’ve steered clear of this trend so far. Mustard I can manage but bright yellow is a different ball game altogether. Enter my style crush Olivia Palermo, looking radiant in yellow and I’m eating my words. But this is Olivia P and she would look stylish in a hessian sack. On Tuesdays’ episode of This Morning the lovely Holly Willoughby emerged wearing a sweet yellow tea dress from Savannah. Holly represents the curvy girl and looks amazing in this trend so now I’m convinced I need to add a little sunshine to my wardrobe. Have you noticed any extra bright pieces sneaking into your wardrobe?
Magazine covers don’t usually warrant a dedicated post, only the exceptionally fabulous or those featuring someone exceptionally fabulous hold my undivided attention. So I bring you Olivia Palermos’ Instyle October cover because Olivia Palermo has exceptionally fabulous style (seriously, I swear I’ve never seen a bad photo of her- ever!) Being fabulous and fashion forward usually means teetering on the edge of good taste. Most of us, including myself, get it wrong from time to time and incur those cringe worthy ‘what was I thinking moments’. But this girl seems to have a sixth sense when it comes to style and spotting new trends. In this feature; if you can pull your attention away from the beautiful images and focus on the text, Olivia says “I like walking out of the house feeling fully pulled together. It doesn’t matter if there’s someone standing outside my apartment or not”. Dressing for yourself and wearing what makes you happy is a message I can fully endorse. I suppose it’s pretty obvious but yes, I have a major girl style crush on Olivia Palermo.
