Collaboration- the key to success…

Celebrities endorsing brands is pretty standard, adding their name to various products with little or no creative input, solely intended to boost sales. I’m not against celebrity endorsement, it paved the way for designer/high street collaborations- which I love. Really what’s not to like? Designer style on a high street budget, er yes please…… Fair enough some collections bare little resemblance to their name’s sake, high-end line but right now there are a few excellent collections.

H&M whipped up a fashion snow storm with Anna Dello Russo’s lavish collection, priming customers for avant-garde Maison Martin Margiela to take center stage this November. Expect over-sized tailoring, masculine lines and heavy draping.

Debenhams is well-known for designer collaborations, this season one of my favourite designers Marios Schwab has teamed up with Debenhams, bringing his signature sultry style to the high street brand (so that’s my party wear sorted this season).

Fashion bloggers (renowned for being fashion-forward) have got in on the action too. River Island invited eight bloggers to create capsule accessory collections-  the first two are from Coco’s Tea Party and Five, Five Fabulous. Check out both collections here, superb aren’t they?!
